What is microdosing?

Microdosing is the concept of taking a sub-perceptual (unnoticeable) dose of a substance, which many people incorporate into their weekly routines.

The idea is to increase the level of creativity, energy, and focus and to reduce the level of stress, anxiety, and emotional instability.

How does it work?

One possible explanation is that it has a direct effect on the serotonin system in the brain. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that plays a key role in regulating mood, and many antidepressant medications work by increasing the availability of serotonin in the brain. Research suggests that it may work in a similar way, by binding to serotonin receptors in the brain and increasing serotonin levels. This could help to alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety, and improve overall mood.
